Challenges really seem to be getting the better of me recently. What is going on? I feel like I’ve oversold what I’ve ended up with. Maybe jazzing up should be changed to mildly decorating. If I was going to grade this week, I don’t think it could get higher than a C.
I. Hate. This. Outfit. Everything about it. When I say everything, I mainly mean the skirt and top combo. The only slight bonus was that it wasn’t too hot or exposing for the office. The skirt was an eBay buy with the tags still on, there’s a very good reason for that. If you want a skirt to get in your way in every possible way, this is the one for you. There’s a good chance both of these are being evicted.
I forgot how much I actually like my hair blow dried backwards. This is a look I could do with utilising more before my roots go crazy and I just end up with a dark band around my forehead. These (somehow) blurry photos don’t quite show off that I actually put some effort into my face. Eye shadow, lower lash line shadow, eyeliner, blah, blah, blah.
Jewellery wise, I had a geometric necklace, thumb ring (that I could not for the life of me work out how to photograph), and a beautiful watch borrowed from work. I’m allowed to do that I promise.
This felt like quite a nice treat. The jumpsuit hasn’t been bought during my 6 week no spending challenge, but it did still have the tags on. Basically like I’ve been shopping. Apart from the bra strap making a cheeky appearance, I loved this look despite the over it expression on my face.
Spot the obvious mistake here. Somehow, I forgot to put mascara on today. How does this happen? I have no idea. It wasn’t until I’d sat down at work that I realised, and did have a little chuckle to myself.
Hair didn’t come out too badly considering I had to compete with the back blow dry from the day before. Love a chunky plait.
I had a very similar jewellery set up as the day before, necklace, rings, watch. I do really like this bold necklace with the jumpsuit and I am starting to love wearing rings on a day to day basis.
All black in the heat. What was I thinking? Aside from the heat issue, I did quite enjoy the bra and top mix up. It probably would look a lot better with jeans in a much more casual look. Next time.
I hope my top wasn’t this see through all day. I didn’t notice any extra perving so I don’t think it can have been. My makeup didn’t quite turn out how I wanted it to. The vision was smudged out bronze eyeliner. It turned out more of a wishy washy all over faded bronze lid. More practice needed.
The good old faithful jewellery set up, necklace, ring, watch. When did I become so basic?
This may have been my favourite outfit of the week. When I first got dressed I didn’t really feel myself at all, it could be because the top and shoes aren’t mine, but by the end of the day I was loving it. I can’t decide how flattering this skinny leg, boxy top combo is, but it made me feel good so that’s all that matters.
Can you see the migraine forming in my eye here? If I haven’t quite mentioned it enough, this heat is going to be the death of me. My makeup had the boldest eyeliner of the week, it took three pens to get to this end point. I can’t wait to start spending again to treat myself to some decent eye makeup.
Jewellery wise, here I may have cheated a little bit. Technically, I have three necklaces on but they all kind of go together so I think I probably should have added something else. These necklaces are definitely my favourite pieces of the week. I’m very bias here because they are things I’ve made.
This week I’ve accidentally got stuck in the same make up and jewellery routines. It might be time for a bit of Pinterest inspiration to break away from the predictable and pretty boring. As well as falling out with my make up looks, I’ve officially decided I hate pretty much all the jewellery I have. So dated and so boring. It’s time to make and buy much more exciting pieces.
Before the next birthday aging panic sets in, it has to be time to set everything up 10 gears. I can do better than this.
