Style: Christmas party prep

I don’t know about anyone else, but after spending a long 8 hours at work the idea of spending more hours with the same people isn’t all that appealing. But then maybe I’m just crazy and have too much of the Grinch inside me.

After waking up not exactly thrilled at the thought, I decided I needed to come up with a little plan.

Step one – re-read my own advise on how to get dressed when you’re not feeling yourself.

Step two – pull everything glittery, sequined, or remotely Christmas themed out of the wardrobe. Is it any kind of Christmas party without a bit of glitter?

Step three – remember I’m lazy and don’t want to have to outfit change in the office. Getting changed in basically a damp toilet cubicle is not my idea of a great start to the night.

Step four – have a glass of wine. It is the holiday season after all.

Step five – accept that sulking about having to go out won’t change anything and I need to get over it and get on with it. There are worst things going on in the world than having food and drinks paid for all night.

Step six – Give up ever so slightly with the vaguest of outfit and make up plans. A day to night look, most likely something plain black with some form of glitter over the top. Maybe a splash more makeup to top up whatever I manage to get on my face in the morning.
